In
2001, Mike Linley, award winning Producer and Scientific Adviser
with Survival Anglia Limited, formed Hairy Frog Productions.
Educated
at Hull Grammar School and Durham University where he obtained
an Honours degree in Zoology, he then did a brief spell of teaching,
followed by Post Graduate Research at the University of Bristol.
After freelancing with the BBC on Life on Earth he joined the
staff of Anglia Television’s Survival in 1980 and over a
period of 21 years produced and latterly filmed and produced over
45 half hour documentaries and 22 one hour specials, many of which
won major International awards. During his time with Survival
he also researched, wrote and produced over 200 wildlife programmes
for children including the series Animals in Action and the Animal
Show with Stinky and Jake, a co-production with The Jim Henson
Company.
Mike has created a company which, not only utilises his vast knowledge
and experience as a filmmaker but also offers scientific consultation
and advice on all aspects of natural history and the media.
